The Institute of Place Mananagement is pleased to be sponsoring the the Manchester Modernist Society which is 6 months old already! time for a soiree….

So, as the nights draw colder, what better way to mark this mini milestone than with a sophisticated evening at the splendid Outlet Coffee House for an evening of modernist delights.

To coincide with their half birthday they have published the first of a series of postcards celebrating the modern design heritage of the City of Manchester; featuring images sourced from the city archives, over 10,000 of these postcards will be distributed freely to the public, at information points such as the Central Library, Tourist Information Centre, the Manchester Museum, Whitworth Art Gallery, Victoria Baths and the Greater Manchester Transport Museum.

Join us at 6.30 for the launch of our beautiful postcards, a screening of short films from the NW Film Archive, and an introduction by Dr. Steve Millington (Senior Lecturer of Human Geography at Manchester Metropolitan University).
